The Academy of Radiology Research’s listing of NIH Grants and Awards to Departments of Diagnostic Radiology is available here.

This list is different from the Blue Ridge Institute’s rankings for several reasons, including:

1. The Blue Ridge Institute’s list includes Radiation Oncology grants, but the Academy’s list only includes Diagnostic Radiology.

2. The Blue Ridge Institute’s list does not include Institutions whose grant overhead goes to a hospital or foundation instead of a medical school. The Academy’s list does include those Institutions.

3. If the Principal Investigator of a NIH grant has his or her primary appointment in a Radiology Department at a University, but the grant overhead goes to another entity, then those grants are not included in the Blue Ridge Institute’s list. However, the Academy does include those grants.

4. The Academy’s list does not include co-Principal Investigators.
