The Academy – Advancing Innovation in Imaging Science
Mission Statement
The Academy is a non-profit organization committed to advancing research in medical imaging by advocating for consistent federal investment for medical imaging research. By engaging a community of imaging scientists and researchers, technology experts and patient advocates, we facilitate shared learning and collaboration on current and future research initiatives. Second, we are committed to the development of programming designed and implemented to ensure investigators are prepared and successful throughout all stages of their career, ensuring that our community is competitive for federal research funds. Third, we educate policymakers about the impact and value of medical imaging and image-guided therapies to ensure consistent and continuing support by elected officials across the Legislative and Executive branches of government.
Guided by the above, our collective vision for the organization is: The Academy will enhance health care and impact lives through sustained education and advocacy in support of consistent federal investment in radiology and imaging research.
