Jacob (Bram) Stolk PhD, MBA
Bram Stolk is the General Manager of the Global Research Operations team for GE Healthcare, a $19 Billion division of General Electric. Bram is responsible for leading GE Healthcare’s Global Research Organization (GRO), which focuses on driving world-class research and development alongside global collaboration partners in the areas of innovative diagnostic imaging, surgical and life care solutions, healthcare IT, and life sciences. Through quality research, GE businesses are enabled to become global leaders in innovative products that drive effective, efficient, accessible healthcare for customers across the globe.
Bram has over 25 years of experience in strategically developing medical imaging products, with extensive work in sales management, product development, and collaborations management.
At Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Bram began his career as a post-doctoral fellow in Radiology. Bram went on to lead initiatives in MRI development as a Product Manager and Principal Scientist at Otsuka Electronics. Building his academic relationships, Bram then managed the University of Utah Small Bore Animal Imaging Facility. After attaining his MBA, Bram tackled successively increasing research and product development responsibilities, most recently as the Sr. Director of Research and Development for the Siemens Healthcare MR Business in the USA.
Bram brings experience and passion to the GE team, and aims to collaboratively drive world-class, customer-focused research across global GE businesses.
Bram holds a PhD degree in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, USA and an Executive MBA from the University of Utah. Bram, who has two children, lives in Salt Lake City with his wife, two dogs, and a cat. In his spare time, Bram enjoys riding horses.
