Janice is a communications and operations professional passionate about advancing healthcare through strategic collaboration, clear communication, and thoughtful leadership. At The Academy, she supports operations, communications, member engagement, and special initiatives.
Her experience spans higher education and nine years at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where she began as a Pathways intern before converting to a full-time staff in the Office of Communications at the Clinical Center. There, she wrote news stories, took on special projects, and led the Music in the Atrium concert series for four years, including a memorable annual collaboration with the National Symphony Orchestra’s full ensemble. She enjoyed creating opportunities for staff, patients, and visitors to connect through live performances while also improving processes, building relationships, and fostering collaboration and community along the way.
Outside of work, Janice sings with the Nerds in Harmony acapella group and loves content creation, themed gatherings, photography, and traveling.
