Katherine P. Andriole, PhD

Dr. Katherine Andriole completed her degree in Biomedical Engineering at Duke University. She then continued on to Yale University where she studied Electrical Engineering and Medicine. At Yale, her PhD research was in classical machine learning. She completed fellowships in the Departments of Radiology at the University of California at Los Angeles and the University of California at San Francisco where she was involved in building, implementing and evaluating picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) before they became commercial entities. For more than twenty years Dr. Andriole served as an Associate Professor of Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School and Director of Academic Research and Education at Mass General Brigham AI. As of February 1, 2026, she will be the Inaugural Associate Dean for Health Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy and Innovation at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and Director for the UCLA Center for AI and SMART Health.
