Lynn Marquis is the Senior Director for Government Relations at the Academy for Radiology and Biomedical Imaging Research and represents its interests before Members of Congress and leaders in the Administration. She is primarily responsible for educating political leaders on the need for a robust federally funded scientific enterprise. Prior to joining the Academy, Lynn led the Coalition for the Life Sciences. She also serves in a leadership capacity on many boards and committees that share the unified commitment for advancing the U.S. biomedical research enterprise.

Lynn has over 20 years of experience in Washington, DC.  Beginning her career on Capitol Hill as a legislative aide to then Representative Bill Brewster (D-OK), she went on to work as a lobbyist on behalf of many health care interest before fine tuning her experience on behalf of the nation’s scientific enterprise.

Lynn has a B.A. in Communications and Political Science from the University of Southern Maine.
