Pamela Woodard, MD

Dr. Pamela Woodard attended Duke University for both her undergraduate study as well as medical school. She then completed her residency at the Duke University Medical Center. She completed her fellowship in Cardiothoracic Imaging at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Woodard is currently the Director of the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology. She was named senior vice chair and division director of radiology research facilities in 2017, providing administrative oversight of MIR’s eleven research facilities. Her research in cardiovascular imaging has made significant impacts in translational imaging, including her work leading to a study which established a new standard for diagnosing blood clots in the lungs.
